Moab Easter Safari 2008 | Print |

For anyone who attended the 2008 Moab Easter Safari, you may have seen the All-Pro SAS equipped FJ Cruiser there showing the Jeeps how it's done. Team All-Pro's professional spotter and all around great guy Larry McRae (those who were at the recent FJ Cruiser Challenge at the Hammers will remember him well) piloted the Iron Jock Dana 60 equipped FJ and put it through some serious testing. Larry and his wife, Cheri, spent the week running trails and making a name for the SAS'd FJ Cruiser. For those who missed this great event here is a trail report.

Cliff Hanger

While Jon loves Moab and would have loved it even more in his rock-eating FJ, he had to choose between Moab and Kentucky and Kentucky won. Jon only hoped that " Larry and Cheri would bring my FJ home looking as good as it does in these pictures, and remember Larry you are the man and have nothing to prove, please keep the shiny side up and have lots of fun."

Golden Spike

Larry takes advantage of the SAS'd FJ Cruiser and its amazing amount of droop with the Fox 2.5 coil-over shocks. He made certain to show it off every chance he got.

Rusty Nail

Larry proves that the FJ with it's Iron Jock Dana 60 housing can be pushed harder and farther on even the hardest trails.

White Knuckle

Larry's comment on the White Knuckle, "The FJ was very stable and didn't need the strap, but because it was on the Red Rock 4 Wheelers orgainized run they wanted the rigs to have them in case they were needed. All the jeeps needed them accept the JK's and of course the FJ."

Jon, while worried about Larry bringing home his shiny FJ Cruiser in one piece still told Larry that "...if Currie went up White Knuckle Hill in his JK then it's game on and you either make it up or bring it home on the wrecker!"
